Creativity = Compassion in Motion

Creativity Isn’t What You Make. It’s How You Pivot.

If you asked me what kind of creative I am, I’d probably say: The kind with color-coded plans, a deep love of clarity, and a low tolerance for chaos.

(And I mean that in the most neurodivergent-affirming way possible.)

But the reality is that even the best systems get steamrolled sometimes.

Summer camp was cut short. COVID pulled a plot twist (yeah, that's still happening).
The final dance? Canceled. And with it, the feeling of summer unraveled, oh-so fast.

Not just for the kids. For us too.

The counters? Covered in snack debris.
The dishes? Multiplying.
The noise levels? Back to pre-camp madness.

Truth be told, I kinda missed it.
The mid-day drum beats.
The “hi!” my daughter chirps every time she enters the room, like we haven’t seen each other 17 times already.

(You can’t coach that kind of sunshine.)

Still, we moved on. Just like the kids did.
They flexed. They laughed. They pivoted.
And then they came home beaming, eager to tell us about their shorter, still-sweet camp memories.

And that’s when it clicked:

💡 Creativity isn’t control. It’s compassion in motion.

It’s the how when the what collapses.
It’s the strategy that says: “We see the mess, and we’re designing through it.”

And so that's what I do. I build websites for neurodivergent-affirming service providers who lead with both clarity and care.

Here’s what I keep learning (and re-learning):

Flexibility is a feature, not a flaw
🧠 Emotional intelligence drives smart systems
💛 Kindness isn’t just a culture piece. It scales

So no, this wasn’t the summer we planned. But it reminded me who I want to be, and who I build for.

People who adapt. Who lead with empathy. Who design with heart, especially when the plan falls apart.

Even when the BIG dance gets canceled.
